When 21 chunks of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 (9 is the number of completion and old cycles ending) smashed into Jupiter in July 16-22, 1994, it also effected the way the planet Jupiter influences you in your daily life both natally and when it transits different houses of your horoscope. Twenty-one is a significant number because it adds up to 3 (the number of creativity and also number of the Earth goddess Gaia) as well of 1 (the number of new beginnings) and 2 (the number of partnerships). While the comets pummeled the planet, our astronomers sat back and watched the gas giant explode with the force of millions of nuclear bombs. Jupiter, (the planet of expansion and abundance), had just entered Scorpio, (the sign of transmutation and transformation). It was in 5° Scorpio (the number for change) throughout the collision period. What this signaled was that a period for regenerative expansion on the planet had begun.
The HubbleSite photos above chronicle the results of the impact evolution. They
show that: 5 minutes after impact, a plume of rising gas is visible as a bull's
eye pattern; 1.5 hours after impact, dark dust rings (symbolic of the mother
energy and birth from the void) spread across Jupiter to cover an area the size
of the Earth; 3 days after impact, these dust rings were
beginning to dissipate; 5 days after impact, the dissipation continued.
Please note how the synchronity of the 1, 3, and 5 pattern continued throughout the timing of the NASA STScl photos and correlate with what occurred on Earth. The 3 numbers add up to 9 indicating the completion of a former cycle of stagnation and encroaching entropy. When the rings had dispersed from ground zero, this earth sized area of transformational energy was sent to our planet for cleansing and healing purposes. It is also significant that the transformational energy took the form of a bull's eye. The bull being the totem animal of Taurus and Gaia being the real ruler of the sign. Jupiter rules the third eye chakra and this bull's eye form correlates with the function of opening and expanding our third eye so that we may begin to see universal truths with greater clarity. It is indicative of rending the veils of ignorance to let the light of the higher spheres into our consciousness. Until July 12th, 2001, Jupiter will be in Gemini the ruler of the number 5. Gemini is in opposition to the sign Jupiter rules which is Sagittarius. The opposition is represented by the figure eight which indicates synergy in action - the synthesis and grounding of the comet enhanced, Jupiterian spiritual energies into the maturing planetary light matrix. In interpreting the effects of transits on personal charts look both to the house position of natal Jupiter, as well as, the house position of the transiting Jupiter. For example, a natal Jupiter positioned in the 5th house of creativity opposed to natal Uranus positioned in the 12th house of unconscious memories would motivate someone to focus on creating a whole new spiritual foundation for themselves that included: setting up new boundaries for energy exchanges, actualizing love in action into right livelihood, and forming new relationships and partnerships with World Servers.
Transiting Jupiter was moving first through the person's 11th house of groups, friends,
and communities then through the 12th house of subconscious imprinting. This
time frame should would assist in the consolidation of recent growth, such as,
learning how to overcome obstacles caused by conditioned emotional responses and psychological
barriers, by simply and serenely flowing around them.
