Aggregate
A group of
crystals of one or more mineral types clustered together in a dense mass like
the Heulandite cluster shown on the right below.
Anhedral
Undeveloped immature exterior crystal faces
that were imperfectly shaped.
Amygdaloidal
Stones that were shaped in a way
that resembled almonds.

Clusters that bear a structural resemblance
to the branching growth qualities of trees.
Bladed
Flat expanded crystals that are shaped like blades of grass or leaves.
Kyanite
Blocky
Chunky crystals that look like boxy packages.
Botryoidal (Globular)
Aggregates of interlocking
rounded masses that have the form of a bunch of grapes like those of Smithsonite
shown in the picture above on the left,
Cleavage
Refers to the attribute of a
crystal splitting along specific planes when smoothly broken, creating an even
crystal form. Cleavage is further characterized from poor (rough jagged
surfaces) to perfect (smoothly edged face).
